New Delhi: The Pro Kabaddi League kicks off on a high note as Bollywood celebs were presented in the opening ceremony of PKL 11.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 cast Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan were presented at the grand opening of PKL 11. The first match was set between Telugu Titans and Bengaluru Bulls.
Kartik Aaryan also shared his childhood memories of Kabaddi. Kartik said ‘he used to play kabaddi in his Gali’. He played kabaddi in his childhood but did not play at any professional level. Kartik was also proud to share the stage with Kabaddi players. Vidya Balan also shared his views on meeting the stars raiders Pawan Sehrawat and Pardeep Narwal.
Vidya said “I have enjoyed watching kabaddi. Today we met Pawan (Sehrawat) and Pardeep (Narwal) who are fantastic players. Good luck to the teams for the first match. Pawan is a high-flyer and Pardeep is a record-breaker so I wish them luck for the season.”
Kartik and Vidya were seen promoting their upcoming horror-comedy movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The first two parts were successful in the theatres and now the third part will release in the festive season. They both added Bollywood’s glamour and a touch of excitement among the fans.
The night started with Bengaluru Bulls vs Telugu Titans match. The Titans dismantled the Bulls in their home ground. Sehrawat was the hero of the match by scoring important points in the match. Titans defeated the Bulls 37-29 in the season 11 opener match.
After the high-anticipating match, Sunil Kumar led U Mumba took on Dabang Delhi K.C. Sunil was the most expensive defender bought in the PKL 11 auction but Delhi showed an impressive performance defeating Mumbai in their first match by 36-28.
The season 11 matches will be played in three cities Hyderabad, Noida, and Pune. The first leg is playing in Hyderabad then after that the players will travel to Noida for the second leg of PKL 11.
