Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a number of developmental projects worth more than Rs 56,000 crore across Maharashtra on Saturday.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to inaugurate several developmental projects worth over Rs 56,000 crore across Maharashtra on Saturday. Apart from inaugurating an underground metro rail line, he will also lay the foundation stones of several key infrastructure projects and also launch various initiatives across various fields including agriculture and animal husbandry sectors.

During his visit, the PM will inaugurate a metro lined connecting BKC to Aarey JVLR section in Mumbai, which is being built at the cost of Rs 14, 120 crore. This section will have 10 stations, of whom nine will be underground. Once the service begins, it will help to cater to around 12 lakh passengers daily in the route, officials said.

PM Modi to lay foundation stone for Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail project

Apart from this, the PM will also lay the foundation stone for the Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail project which will be constructed at a cost of around Rs 12,200 crore. Notably, the total length of the route is 29 kilometres. It will have 20 elevated and two underground stations. Among the other projects, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of the Elevated Eastern Freeway Extension from Chheda Nagar in Mumbai to Anand Nagar in Thane.

The project, being built at the cost of Rs 3,310 crore, will help in providing smooth connectivity from south Mumbai to Thane. He will also launch various projects related to the agricultural and animal husbandry sector at a total cost of Rs 23,000 crore in Washim city of Maharashtra at noon.

PM to distribute 18th instalment of PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi

During his visit in Washim, will distribute the 18th instalment of the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi of Rs 20,000 crore to nearly 9.4 crore farmers. With this, the total number of funds released for farmers under PM-KISAN will be around Rs 3.45 lakh crore.
