BrahMos has also urged its more than 200 industry partners to reserve 15 per cent of their workforce for Agniveers in roles tied to BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited (BAPL) requirements.

Extended Employment Opportunities

“Beyond regular employment at BrahMos, Agniveers will also be integrated into outsourcing contracts, providing a wider scope for their reintegration into civilian careers. Industry partners working with BrahMos will be incentivized to provide opportunities to Agniveers, expanding the reach of this initiative across India’s defence industrial landscape,” BrahMos Aerospace CEO said in a statement.

The company said that this initiative aligns with India’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ vision, promoting self-reliance in defence manufacturing while at the same time providing skilled employment for young, former military personnel.

According to BrahMos Aerospace, The move supports India’s push towards becoming a USD 5 trillion economy by leveraging the disciplined, trained workforce emerging from the Agnipath Scheme.

Leadership and Commitment

The company highlighted the importance of reservation initiative and stressed that Agniveers bring valuable skills and a strong sense of duty that will benefit the company and the broader defence sector, said Anil Misra, Director (HR & Admin).

The Agnipath Scheme was launched by Centre in 2022 to recruit young individuals for a four-year term in the Indian armed forces and provide them with military training, technical know-how, and combat experience.

Following their tenure in armed firces, the Agniveers are equipped to pursue civilian careers or further studies.
