Kejriwal to vacate govt bungalow, give up other facilities

On Wednesday, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had announced that Kejriwal will move out of his government bungalow in north Delhi’s Civil Lines and also give up other facilities he was getting while serving as Delhi CM in the next few weeks.  Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said Kejriwal was asked to rethink about his decision to vacate his official residence but he refused saying he spent six months in jail among dreaded criminals.

Kejriwal who walked out of jail last week on bail in Delhi liquor policy case, had announced that he will resign from the post of CM and would take over the position again only after getting people’s mandate in the Assembly polls due next year. Before submitting his resignation letter to Lt Governor VK Saxena on Tuesday, Kejriwal named party leader Atishi as the next Chief Minister of Delhi.
