Tempering of evidence at crime scene

One of the first hurdles the CBI is facing is the crime scene. The investigating agency believes that it is tough for them to join the dots due to insufficient evidence from the crime scene, according to a CBI official who spoke to PTI. It is alleged that a day after the victim’s body was found on August 10, RK Kar Principal instructed demolition of restroom and a nearby toilet. The agency official believe that the crucial evidence at the crime scene were lost due to the demolition.

Was it a gangrape?

Meanwhile, the victim’s parents, who filed a petition in the Calcutta High Court, have alleged gang-rape of their daughter. The family also suspected that there was tempering of evidence at the crime scene.

Financial bungling at RG Kar

The investigating agency believes that there were multiple people involved in financial irregularities at the hospital, apart from Dr Sandip Ghosh, who has now been arrested by the agency along with three others.
